Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

We've just made it down to our departure gate. Since my last post I've been through the scanner, had the bags x-rayed, had my passport inspected 3 times, and been patted down and swabbed for drugs and explosives. I successfully completed all those checks, and then got told off by security for taking photos, which he made me delete. I'm pretty sure that only the good guys are going to be on our plane to the UK.
Cheers

Glad to got to that point safely so far Dave & Terrie! Saw you coming in for landing. A lot of air traffic over there!
Half to Dubai & half to Dohaa. Then there are all the other traffic going here, there & elsewhere.
You were at 40,000 feet most of the way. 13 hours is a loooong time!

Dave, good to hear you have survived the first leg of the journey, now for the next. Best part of the plane is down the back next to the loos and the mile high club office. Love Have fun when you recover from the flight.

We flew with Emirates for the first time. Nothing but good reports from us. Good tucker, plenty of it, plenty of cabin crew and nothing to complain about once we got on the plane. They have an amazing onboard entertainment system. Kinda like Netflix, Disney and all those mobs have but it's free, with no buffering
My biggest problem now is getting my southern hemisphere brain to reorientate itself for northern hemisphere goings on.

Dave. In all my travels north,.....

When you think you need to walk north, orientate yourself like home and the turn 180*. Simples.

Good morning from London, its going to be a nice day. No rain forecast. We crashed out early last night, because we could.
It's nearly 5am now so we are going out for a walk before the world wakes up.
Jon, you are spot on. Our major problem was someone, not me, had printed a map but shrunk it down to fit half a page. So I asked a bloke. Not my brightest idea. He couldn't read a map and sent us the wrong way. Won't happen today I'm sure.
Eddy, while you are in Mannum you should try and catch up with T1, Marg, Bruce and Homeless Brian. None of em bite, and they are all good for a bit of a laugh.
We're off to see the Queen or one of her rellos.
Safe travels everybody.
Cheers

Good morning everyone.
Another cool day with some light rain... just nuisance stuff.
I'm still to finish the hedge... also to put the spare wheel on the carrier... that may get done today... maybe 🤔.
Temperature inside the house is in the 20s... bit different than the last cuppla days...
And as everyone knows... it's bacon and eggs day 🥰🤩.
If the lawn drys enough I may even mow... maybe...
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Bernie, I hope you enjoyed you b&e. It's still Sat night here, so i cant really say good morning yet.
We've had a big day today. We walked over 20,000 steps, maybe 15km of foot slog. Started at about 5.30, saw some stuff with nobody about, then it got busy. Toured Westminster Abbey, and saw the Trooping of the Colour or something similar. And seen a musical, Just one day, about the Live Aid concert from 1985.
We both enjoyed it, and so did the entire boomer audience.
It's kinda interesting working out where the cars will come from as you cross the roads here. It's different to back in Aus. London's road network is way weird.
Safe travels everybody.
Cheers
