Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Jon, I know how much it costs to go fast. Best I ever got from my Torana was 12.9 at Calder, but that was with a high speed diff.
It's always fun, til it's not. I went to too many funerals when I was young. Cars today are much safer.
10 sec TC 6 cyl Cortina https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQOwafnE3oE by this stage it was tearing blocks apart and twisting the crack so bad it was hitting the cam shaft and snapping it.
Joe took over building his engines and this stage and went back to the 200 crank, I went belly up in my automotive business so it was all Joe from there https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rw4XMalWv8
After a few engine meltdowns because the lower part of the block was full of concrete in the water jackets to stiffen it up more, it broke into the 8's with an 8.61 ... then he went to the V8 .... how's this for a save https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tXMe4Lc0Y0
Then he switched to small tyre and it really let loose https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBZNsrzDSbQ

You win Ray.
Nothing quite like driving a block of flats through 'the Chase' at Bathurst is there. I thought I was gunna tip our Winny on its head when I did a lap, years ago.
It's still dark and very windy outside. I was woken by a loud humming noise a cuppla hours ago. Finally tracked it down to one of the whirlybirds thingos on the roof.
And, while I was outside looking for the origin of said noise, I happened to notice the extra bright star in the sky, similar to what we saw, and roughly in the same spot in the sky, as some of us saw at Taggerty earlier this year.
The Startracker app shows it to be Saturn with Neptune behind it.
Cheers

Thanks Dave.

I still wonder about it.

Both the boys cars are standard and $17k. That's the difference.

Good morning everyone. It's a bit wild and windy up here today.
Was going to roll the new awning out on the MH today but the winds help me decide it wasn't a good idea.
Good man Bernie, keep Carol warm and happy. I hope her recovery is short and complete.
A mates father used to say to us whenever we were doing something to make our cars run better, 'leave it standard son, you'll have more money son'. He was right, but we did have lots of fun finding our limits.
Safe travels everybody.

It would appear that now is a good time to buy an MG EV if you were in the market for one. Looks like they have dropped the price around $6k, but have included a few extra requirements for warranty servicing.

The wind didn't roll us over last night, not for want of trying, and beside the water that must have come in around the water heater, the inside stayed dry.

Took the MG4 surfing yesterday afternoon to get some goodies for dinner, lots and dead ICE vehicles on the roadside with their 4 way flashers signalling where to failed to proceed, so the road recovery teams must have been working hard .... no squirt of WD40 under the distributor cap gets them going again

The rain has stopped at the moment, so back to the water heater to at least get it glued and screwed into place.

A few trees down around here, one even made it onto last nights ABC news .... Closed the airport and stopped the trains around Sydney .... glad I got my flights over and done with before that .....

$50,000 for an XPower, that has to be the bargain of the decade so far ..... ya gotta find a dealer with a demo XPower and take one for a spin ..... everything you thought and were told about electric vehicle will evaporate ...... I'd love to buy one, but my licence would evaporate before the first payment was due

1/4 miles times of 12 sec flat and with repeated runs into the 11's is not unusual, with drag slicks one of the EAVA Adelaide branch members achieved an 11.6 1/4 mile and flat 11 over the 400 mtrs that is the new recognised 1/4 mile, he believed he could get into the 10's given enough time .... but, being the wife's car, permission was with held
