EerWeGoAgen Departs Sept 1st 2013

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Mongrel of a head wind all day and sick of idiot drivers who think the double lines mean they CAN overtake  Last to leave the last stop but before I forget shortly after I took that pic of that car and the proximity of the loo a truck pulled in, he walked around the truck and promptly peed between the truck & trailer  I can understand women ducking into the bushes for a pee if they are unable to "hover" but a big tough truckie unable to squirt or dangle down a loo is beyond me  and he didn't even bother to do it behind a tree Oh no right on the sealed part where kids might roll their ball or fall over?? Then all has been overshadowed by a sight to behold. A small van Hi ace just came in, the woman gets out and picks a spot right in front of the tables and shelter and directs the male driver exactly where to position the van, but wait, she then lifts the tail gate and gets 2 chairs, the gas bottle and 2 blocks of wood out which she puts behind the rear wheels and gestures to the driver to back up of course he does.. I even felt sorry for the fella  now he is going to the long drop to get a bit of relief I expect  What the diff would half an inch make to a van that size ?? now now you lot behave.. Anyway we went to the Gold mine (open cut one) at Peak hill, big colourful hole in the ground with water at the bottom. Saw the cars in the long grass in the main street. Did some shopping in Parkes and decided on the stop for the night which is MARSDEN rest area. STOP # 958. P.156. HEMA 36G2 in the Camps 6 book. Good all round stop and can take all sized rigs. Loo, bins trees and table & chairs with fire areas for cooking. Might be a bit close to the road for some but it doesn't bother us.

How about Griffith?
Have you been there Dot? A lot of people never get to see Griffith as it seems to not be on any major highway.
Several ways to go.
You can continue down to Ardlethan from West Wylong & then turn off to Griffith. On leaving Griffith you come out at Darlington Point & then Hay.
Or you can turn left after Rankin Springs to Griffith.
Remember to not buy heaps of fruit & veg including potato & onions.
Sunny here today.

Hi Dot,
Thanks for the updates.
Gave a quick glance at the Rust In Peace yard as we passed... got the impression there were LOTS of Pommy cars - mainly Rovers - as well as the odd yank tank. A likely spot for a bit of Automotive Archaeology if yoe needed some hard-to-get parts...
;)
Regards & God bless,
Ray

Plane atWest Wyalong Day 34.jpg
Slow start today, back really bad. Took this for you flying people at West Wyalong. Headed to Ardethan for lunch, saw the Fruit fly sign which just stated ALL fruit i.e stone fruit, tropical fruit, peppers capsicum, cucumber & tomatoes, NO mention of spuds or onions :? so we dumped the soggy tomato and the end of the cucumber but tonight we shall eat the naughty 2 spuds we have.. They should make it more clear for me "a boat person" and before some PC goes off I was a 10 pound pom so I am entitled to that title, wonder if I can apply for some goodies :? 8-) Now stopped in Narrandera for tonight and tomorrow there is a street parade so might just well do that. Where we are camped is not in the Camps 6 book, will find out all it's details tomorrow but we are in walking distance to the shops, there are loos (not yet inspected) trees and lots of room. Happy hr for me now. :D

Bought one of these a couple of weeks ago off e-Bay ...

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/16GB-Full-HD ... 3cd06d9193

& it's a little beauty. Small, but the replay on either the computer or the TV is outstanding... just like using a good quality video camera.

Didn't bother with the bidding stuff, just accepted the $52 'buy now' price & with free delivery we had it within 3 days.

Seriously thinking of getting one for the rear of the car as well. ;)
