Mine is an on going problem for the last 8 yrs due to a neck injury received in a hit from behind motor vehicle accident, my head smashed the rear window in the ute I was driving, when I came too my head was hanging out the window turned sideways to my body. The damaged joints pinch the nerves triggering muscle spasms and headaches. The specialist told me to used to it, nothing will fix it and it will get worse. When it finally gets unbearable I do have an option of having the nerves burn out using radio therapy, the risk is, the same path also carries the muscle control nerves and this is why I get the muscle spasms, damage those nerves and parts of my head movement etc would no longer be controllable, loss of facial muscle control...... too risky as far I'm concerned at the moment so I live with the headaches.
