Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dunno why you think that's ho hum Bernie. I think there is nothing better than seeing something in the wild that was hunted to the point of extinction before the world realised . A bit like seeing cross up north.
I'm glad that Jon and Yahiro got to see a mother and calf close up.
There were a quite a few breaching off the Gold Coast Seaway today as they head back south. The more the better I reckon.
Cheers

Maybe because he can't open it to see it? (on phone maybe?)
On my computer I gotta go look in the downloads folder.
Wow! so closeup!
Did it 'give you the eye?'

Tried to.

There were 4. Mum, bub and their escort back to Antarctica. Then a male hanging around annoying them.

So, they cruised under the boat and waited for him to go away. Then they came out and meandered off.

Even the tour operators were taking photos. They said it was very rare for a mum and calf to come so close.

Wow, I'd put that up with boogie boarding with dolphins riding the breaking waves off Warilla Beach, just on dusk, no annoying surfboard riders around ..... it was something I'll remember for ever ...... getting up that close to such majestic monsters of the sea .... and them coming right up beside the boat with a young calf ..... once in a life time stuff, very lucky to be in the right place at the right time ..... and you got a video of it as well, congratulations, and thanks for sharing .... brought back the thrilling feeling of the dolphin experience from so long ago ..... Wish someone had taken a video of my experience ......

Guess what I'll be doing this morning 🌄 😁..
First it was coming Tuesday..then Monday..but came yesterday...so much for tracking ...
I'm sorta not looking forward to doing it...I stuffed my back yesterday lifting stuff I shouldn't 😡.. but I need the ute going...so I'll just grit my teeth and suffer..
Our son was in Brisbane yesterday for more tests...
Keep safe.

A VERY early good morning to whoever is still/just up!
Woke at 0400 when The Ghan stopped in Port August — as I have every other replenishment stop or loop stop to let a freight train through.
Now departed PA en route to Adelaide.
I’ll report again later. Typing on bouncy tracks is v difficult.

Morning all.

I've worked out why Queensland doesn't go to daylight savings time.

Instead of waking up at 5am, they'll be waking up a 4am real time when it's introduced.....

I'd never wake up at 5 and out of bed.... but here I am.

Good morning everyone. Its another fine sunny morn here on the GC. There was a suggestion that we might get a hail storm last night, but that failed to eventuate. No rain in sight.
Good luck with the starter Bernie. I hope your back gets better.
Jon, it's not even summer yet. Wait til the storm bird turns up.
But as the old FiL used to say, it gets late early up here.
Have a top day everybody, whatever you are getting up to.
Safe travels all those out and about.

Bernie, those oranges were excellent. I juiced some and are eating the others. Yummo. Thanks.👍
Cheers

Good luck with the starter refit Bernie, I understand the level of excitement that must be building in the anticipation to crawling around under the vehicle, laying on your back with your hands in the air, and trying to curl the upper body up far enough to see what you are doing .... I can already feel the reason why people would pay someone else to do those sort of jobs ..... then the wallet tells me to just get on with it

Just had a visit from Ian and Anne Gunn (Nomads) on their way through on their travels. It was great to see them again. Now to start removing the LPG tanks, the excitement is never ending I tell ya

Yesterday I replaced one of the louvre window winder mechanisms .... what a fun job that it, took the rest of the day for the back to get over being bent at such an angle, still the driver's side one in the bedroom to do, then that part of the rebuilding will be completed :D
