Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Bill as in Ballarat Bill? Not good at all, how is Lesley holding up? ... Or have I got the wrong Bill?

T1, you got the right Bill. I'll let Jon explain the story.
I hope he recovers from his surgery as quickly and completely as possible.
Cheers

Yes, our Bill.

He is in hospital. He's dislocated his artificial hip joint. Waiting for a replacement.

Not great news, but it could have been far worse. Lesley will be toughing it out be in real turmoil under the tough exterior ..... fingers crossed for a quick and successful fix to this latest setback.

If you have contact with either or both of them, tell them we are both sending all the good thoughts we can, for a good outcome ......

Good morning.
Yaa I finally got to mix the brew for the garden... two wheelbarrows full... all in the new herb garden and the plants... planted 😁
That except for watering was as much as I got up to yesterday..
Today we will be off to Childers for Carol to renew her driving licence today.. she has had the eye test and yesterday she had the medical....
I was going to buy some timber while we were there... but the place I was going to buy from...is no more... apparently closed down three years ago.. bugga..
Nothing else to reveal... till tomorrow 🤔.
Keep safe.
Bernie.

Good morning everyone. It looks like today will be a copy and paste of yesty. Might get to 30⁰ again.
I spent most of yesty morning going to the green waste dump.
Was more fun than the caravan park watching people trying to reverse park their trailers. I reseeded the front lawn and covered it all with bird netting after that. Maybe that'll stop the pigeons from having a feed.
Today I get to pick Terrie up from the airport, hopefully her mum will be ok for a while.
Happy hump day everybody. Safe travels all those out and about.
Cheers

I can't believe how cheap fuel is at the moment, at some servos
Diesel $1.59/litre and E10 $1.49 . But the always super expensive ones near home are nearly $2/litre.
Cheers

After a week of trying every wiring repair I think of to get the Mazda to start from the key, finally resorted to the screw driver across the terminals ..... my big philips screwdriver no longer has an end and was glowing past the point it made contact with the 2 studs ...... might be a starter problem  But I actually got it started after possibly 3 yrs and dragged various vehicles around the yard tried to bull doze the MG4 with the locked up rear wheels, but the clutch wasn't up to it .... so the Mazda is now parked sort of between it and the truck, behind the hedge/tree .....

Now just waiting on the wheel trolley things to go under the rear wheels of the Jag so I can get that out of the way, then use then to shift the remains of the orange taxi Prius .... then drag the remains of the tautliner canopy of the truck to somewhere, to probably cut it up then a whole heap of other crap to move .... and my welding table .... and it will be ready to site the 2 x 40 ft containers ....... :D

Picked up the wheel trolley things, assembled them and they are under the rear wheels of the Jag ..... but my power supply ran out .... so tomorrow it will be.

Have placed the order for the dome and containers, now to find the money  and finish moving stuff so the containers have somewhere to go.

Volunteered to be a refuelling station for an EV converted "Singer" from the '30s I believe, for the Bay to Birdwood rally. They were known as part of the Rootes Group here in Aust and in the40's, 50's and 60's assembled Hillman, Humber, Sunbeam and the Singer Gazelle.

Anyway, This Singer EV doesn't have enough battery capacity to make it up the hill from the bay and all the way to Birdwood at the motor museum, so the MG4 will supply the electricity to recharge it at the morning tea stop at Modbury for an hr or so (it only has a trickle charger), then venture on to the end.
Looking forward to seeing all the old time vehicles strut their stuff actually driving on the road doing the hard miles
Apparently, they give them 3 hrs to get there or they are out of the judging (40min drive in traffic) and some of them use all of it between cool down stops and mechanical mishaps along the way .... but all part of the fun .... There are two converted BMW 2002 vehicles also running, one from Vic some where, this Singer is from Shepperton I think, I'm assuming they will be trailered over, and one from Adelaide that won last yr, as well as the '85 converted Holden Barina that is an absolute masterpiece and won the very first EV category for the Bay to Birdwood ..... the vehicle must be a min of 35 yrs old to participate .....
