What a stinker of a day 36 degs and a disgusting road that caused me to have 2 black eyes Diesel at Hughenden Qld $1.17cpl Dump point was a bit of a fizzer, a hole in the street with a tap, hate to be the house opposite on such warm days. Stopped for the night just out of Torrens creek in a lovely gravel pit with the first lot of shady trees we have seen for days. Also saw 3 big black pigs that had been bowled but didn't feel like worm infested pork can go to maccas for that Still waiting for good old off shore HP to get back to me re the computer, just love this after sales service. Don't get me started on phones either,, too bad I;m in a mood now. Just about all the towns out this way are tourists using their phones, ours is always running out of battery or no signal even in towns, Reason being not with Telstra but internet is... Hopefully to be up early to beat some of the heat tomorrow should get to Charters Towers lunch time just a hundred and some ks.

I don't think you lot could cope but they do need to fix these roads or the air susp needs seeing to Time to hit the sack, just had a lovely cool shower

Mobile phone batteries go flat out on those remote roads, Dot, because they use energy searching for a signal when there is none to be found. A good truck driver can tell you to turn off your phone if signals are few and far between, or, keep the phone on charge.

I know about black eyes Dot we where on Qld roads recently i am told its all the huges trucks take care

Headed off early this morning but at 11am I was starting to get sleepy so found a tree pulled up and had a nap for an hr or so. Then onward to a rest area named Reid creek rest area, very nice even has loos but even at 1pm the vans are all in their places, even taking over the seats and shelters Ended up sitting with a couple in a wildcat 5er and their pussy GEORGE Just had a text from Jo & Derek to say they are in Bowen so they have booked us in for 2 nights at the self contained part of the cp $15 pvpn.. So looks like tomorrow night in Bowen might be a bit loud as Greg & Dee will be home as well.. Crickets singing tonight is very loud and the trains add to the sounds of the night.. 241 ks done today you can keep these early mornings to the sparrow farts club. Going to watch some telly now Inside is now 26deg..
