Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good morning.
So I now have two jobs on the go... rust plus awning.
The quality of the awning seems to be really good.. instructions a bit hazy...but armed with utube video should be a breeze 🤔🤔 maybe...
I did mow the dew was gone by 10..I cut our lawn abit higher than the neighbours ... and it always looks better than his...
I'll have a play with the awning today...like a dummy run.
.
Terry I thought you had to be a member of the CMCA..
I never got a quote for them...I might see what they say when it's re newal time... I'm with Cil at the moment.
I tried to buy something on the Net yesterday... but at cheque out the price had tripled Went into panic mode..then a SMS from my bank saying they had blocked the transaction...phee... except now I need a new card... I'm glad all the new stuff my bank has is working... NAB...
Keep safe.

Good morning everyone. Looks like another fine sunny day on the way for us. Heading for a top of 29⁰ so the man says.
We spent a lot of time trying to contact CiL, the motorhome insurer. Seems like they don't like to talk to people. Email appears to be their go to communication.
Did some trimming and mowing til the mower handle broke. Might go to the tip shop and see if I can find another bit.
Good luck with your repairs and mods Bernie. Stay out of the sun.
Stay safe everybody, have a top day.
Get well soon, all those that aren't feeling the best.
Cheers
David

We found APIA to very good as well, quick to respond and act on each claim, I'll investigate their willingness and price when the Ken Tames policy is due for renewal ...

Terry... question... the supplied arm's are too long
It looks like I can just cut that length off in the picture and move the cap down... thoughts...
That's the easy end.. it's the rear.. front is as lot longer/ shorter..

You could, but I wouldn't if the arm still fits between the lower mounting spot and the sail track.
Once you determine the height so the top of the outer arm, that holds to drum, will lock into the top of the inner fixed arm once it is mounted on the side of the Hino, fit the bolt supplied into the slotted section of the outer arm so it doesn't drop below that position ..... that makes it much easier to roll up into the travel position ..... if you don't fit that travel limit bolt, you will have to lift the arm up each time to get it to lock into position .....

That was probably pitiful attempt at explaining it, but you will see what I mean when you fit it up without the vinyl installed ...... you can wait until you have everything fitted if you want and just leave the locking engaged at the estimated height required and adjust it from there, but that is a real pain in the butt method ..... can you guess how I know this ;)

Ta...I think my post is hard to fathom as well 😁
With the bottom of the arm in the bottom bracket... that bottom can't go any lower because there is a bin there. the photo is how far above the sail track the top of the arm is..is that any clearer than mud ☺️ I will take another picture sometime after 1pm Qld time..I need herself to assist..

Try again .....

I took a few photos to see if this helps

Tried to get them side by side, clearly didn't work  Photos to show height from sail track to ground and marking on tape.

2 mtrs from sail track to bottom mount

Same measurement from arm bottom anchor to arm length with arm collapsed to travel bolt position ..... give or take a about 10mm
Awning arm mark for travel bolt 2.jpg
Awning arm mark for travel bolt 3.jpg
Arm folded up from travel showing arm collapsed to where the bolt should be fitted

Did that help at all? I know I got a headache just trying to get the photos in order
