Things have come to a holt
The tension got me good the handle on the screwdriver came off...it hit me harder than my Dad when he gave me wallop... plus a cut finger in the process...

Been there, done that, except it was a different dad
There should have been two "R" clips, through the white endcap and the piece you are trying to wind up. These must be removed to turn the piece with the bolt hole through it, the trick is, to stop the pipe piece with the bolt hole, working its way inside the white end cap on the roller, if it does, you can't get the "R" clip through the holes to lock it in place.
A few tries with half a turn at a time, till you get your eye in as to where the inner part has to be compared to the outer part for the "R" clip to line up ....

I had to use a very small flat blade screwdriver, because I can't find the "R" clips ..... they have been put away somewhere safe no doubt

After you have attempted this task for the 4th or 5th time ..... beer o'clock seems to roll around, even if it's still morning

It may be beer o'clock lunch
Too Hot now..to stay outside.
But not before we done a test run... the only thing that hurts is my middle finger and the finger which will have a bruise and probably lose the nail.it still needs more tensioning...on the awning
