Agree Bruce, the eye injection are expensive & I often wonder how folk that rely totally on the age pension can afford same or do they just loose their eye vision

Re: Good morning daily
Good afternoon All.
Jon, sorry to hear your sad news.
I went to Service NSW yesterday regarding my old fart's driving test and was told that, despite my cardiologist advising that no more visits to him are required, I still have to see him for a test. Also, a referral from GP is required. Luckily my GP has arranged the referral after a phone call and a Medicare bill.
I am advised that I have to drive the MH to East Maitland, 35km away, for the testing and was also advised that I should drive my car there to see where I can park the bus and that I should have another driver with a MR licence with me to drive me home if I should fail the test. I don't know anyone locally that has a MR licence.
My appointments are, cardio 17/3 and driving test 15/4.
To add to my annoyance I went to the dentist this morning to have a tooth removed, after seeing him last week only to be advised that, due to a Prolia injection 29/12/25 I need to return in 6 weeks for the removal. The appointment made was for 14/4, one day before my driving test. NOT HAPPENING

Re: Good morning daily
Good evening,I missed all of the day and that is no exaggeration.G finished a bit of clearing up of cuttings I did yesterday, got the private address of the specialist dentist I want to see rather than the sub ones I was forced to see. Looks like we may get some rain clouds are grey but that means 0. Jd we know how dam heart breaking is is making that final gift of love to your mate Mr P but he was one of the very lucky ones from being a dumped boy to one of the most loved dogs ever. Just think of him and Mr Bandit goofing around together on those green fields over that rainbow bridge. x

Do any of you ask the Dr/Specialist if they will reduce or better still waive the gap? Most of them will but you still get the $$ grubbers that won't.

Re: Good morning daily
We were quoted over $600 to get the needles while we were in the Illawarra, the professor that does my eye injections just charges for the drugs used, $40 a visit, I'm at between 5 and 8 visits a yr, depending on how the eyes are behaving, I guess I'd find the $200 plus each visit if I had to, but $1600 a yr would really hurt the budget ......

I wasn't talking so much about what you pay.. you mentioned pensioners...how do they get on..
Most elective surgery in Qld is free of you are a pensioner... and as Dot said the doctors can tick the free box.. but won't... unless you ask..
