Only way I can use it Bernie Getting real peed off with this repairer, he insists that we drove with the dish up which we have NOT he then put that on his quote to KT, they in turn did not let us know so G got back onto KT and said in no uncertain terms he will not accept that their workmanship was at fault in the first place by them using crappy metal and small pop rivets to do the job in the first place. We did have very strong side winds at one stage so maybe that was the start of the rubbing/ cutting into the pop rivets. At one stage I heard a thumping noise on the roof so we stopped and that is when G noticed the rips in the metal arm so we tied the dish down with the straps.. .. we just went in to his workshop and I let him know in no uncertain terms that we did not drive with the dish up at any time. grrrr. Anyway if he replaces everything are we entitled to keep it because if he wants to keep it I shall beat the crap out of every item then he can have it. These people make me angry, claim on insurance then they repair it and flog it on.. Come on in next Chinaman, it is not pleasant sitting in the bus in the sun while we wait for the go ahead from KT....

Well finally got out of there. Different place to last time so Jon we won't be joining you at the hotel because that would mean going from way over the other side of Mackay then to turn around and come back through Mackay again and I hate this town.. Anyway G ended up ringing KT again to see what the prob was and they had not received the pics he took so we gave him the curry up, got the priority to get the job done, we pay the first $200. Now funnily enough the new cords coming through the roof to the box thing are a much heavier quality cable PLUS the lifting arm is also made of heavier metal and better constructed, so am I right to assume that there has been some other people having the same complaint as us and they don't want to admit it or do a recall and blame the people for being careless there fore making warranty null and void?? So another $3k plus in his pocket when on the web site it is priced at $2k odd? hmmmm Anyway we have escaped to a lovely gravel pit.. BTW I was up at 0600hrs this morning so that means I am totally stuffed so now I am going to watch some tv which means the comp will have to have a rest for a bit. Comp screen is now all black with pink green white and blue lines all over it. Mad mad drivers once again, listening to the UHF tells lots of stories of people getting peed off with other drivers

What a beautiful evening breeze after a warmish day. As usual we are in a lovely gravel pit for tonight, Have a lady with her dog and a budgie and bags and bags of stuff in just a small hatch car for the night?? Today I murdered a frilled necked lizard It was self defence because it was on my side of the road and I had no where to go except over it as there were two big trucks coming at me.. I think he passed fast. The one and only living animal on the road we have seen this trip and I had to kill it Took the big hill from Eton in our stride but prepared for the unknown by taking the car off and pulled into the "Retreat Hotel" area for lunch. It has big signs up saying they are closed for renovations?? strange the cp area is not open though.. anyway we fought the ups and downs of the "road" and I spotted a nice clean gravel pit so in we came. Gunna do a bit of looking around before we head to the Tank n Russell's place in a day or two.. Tomorrow is shower and washing day have to smell nice for the "boys" Lovely and quiet road only occasional truck but that's nothing. Hardly any caravans or mh's along this road Copyuslater
