Picked up my beautiful red leather Lazy Boy today and it is just wonderful, having a great time pressing the buttons.
Blow me down, we have a huge caravan parked in the yard, same place, same people

Had 6 days at a little open style van park at Catherton, V, birthplace of the Kelpie - because it was so bloody cold & needed the power for heating the van - intended to leave Saturday morning but found out that there was a big gathering of these dogs & owners & the van park was booked up from Friday... so we left. Headed up to Kingston SE home of the Bruce, intending to make use of their free camp on the foreshore next to a nice little shop that did beaut fush-n-chups & burgers but when we got there not only was the shop closed up but there was also a sign at the camping area stating it was for self contained vehicles only - with holding tanks for waste water. Well, our van does not have one of those so we figured we might as well go to the van park... until Trina checked on WikiCamps that they were asking $40p/n... now that might have been during the busy period but with the long weekend around the corner we figured they'd probably charge that amount again.

So at around 12:30pm we rang Dot to see if she knew of any in her area... Voila, ask & ye shall receive... so here we are.

But I can definitely say that reversing a 30' van into the driveway at 4:30 pm with the sun in your face as you are looking into the o/s rear view mirror is no barrel of fun. Last time I managed to do it in one go... this time it took about 11 attempts. I think there were quite a few peak hour workers heading home that were a little pissed of with this little black duck. Pffft.

The golden rules of reverse parking,
Golden rule one:
If it didn't go right by the second attempt, after driving back out, park up and have a cool drink and re-assess the problem, this may require more than the one cool drink.
Golden Rule two:
If the re evaluation results in the attempt to have another go at the reverse park, refer to golden rule one for directions
Golden Rule three:
If you notice a repeating of rules one and two, up the level of cool drinks until rule two no longer applies

Now don't hold me responsible if all the promised aren't completely fulfilled, and remember it is $31, but if it does any of what I think it says, what a bargain

Now I know bugger all about solar, but; my 200w panel on the car cost $215. I would have to buy 45 4.5w panels to equal 200w and that would cost $1395.

Also, given that the schematic does not involve a solar controller, where would I get an 18v battery.

Or have I misunderstood something?

Did you miss these bits

Help the car battery or other 12V battery to supplement a partially charged battery loss, do not try to make the battery power shortage, not lights the fire the battery loss tram hit you solve an embarrassing situation, and also part of the fuel consumption savings.

Just in case you wanted a serious answer, that panel puts out 1/4 amp when performing at its best, the battery would hold the voltage down to normal levels until it was fully charged, that would take a very long time, to get it up to 18v is never going to happen.... but you could wire it up to recharge the 18v power tools, take about a week to charge a 4Ah battery so not exactly a fast charger, but it would finally get there

I wasn't looking for a serious answer but I am wiser for the second piece of advice.

I should have said "Have I misunderstood everything?" I got a bit confused at the point where he lost a partially charged battery. But I could use the panel quite often if it can solve an embarrassing situation. I'm no longer thin enough to appropriately bend but I did have my unique water situation fixed by the surgeon last year.

The bit about being hit by a tram and an embarrassing situation, my grandma always used to say, "Wear clean underwear in case you get hit by a tram". I never quite understood her logic because by my calculations, the underwear problem occurs just as the tram is about to hit you.

Ahhh.... I missed that very important feature, the loss of a partially charged battery, that can be embarrassing as well I guess because unless you can find it you can't charge it..... but this handy bit of gear attaches to partially charged batteries and sticks on the roof... or rear window, but I sort of missed the advantage of the rear window fitting.... maybe so you can see the panel in the mirror, then trace the wiring back and...... there is the partially charged battery you were looking for, no need for any further embarrassment...... and you won't have to wear clean undies any more either because the tram problem has also been solved.....for a mere $31, how do they do it for the money
