Very clever, but this would not be a forum if one pick or poke was not made,, I was always taught not to turn your wheels while stationary.... had to get that in

Cop this,, I was on duty at the op shop today and a lady came in looking at some of the plates in the cupboard, she then said she had bought a plate here some weeks ago for $2 and decided to google it, turned out it is valued at around $2k. Good on her I say. That is what op shops are all about.

Reckon it would cost her 2grand to get the plate to pommy land, in one bit and to the right specialist auction house. If she is keen enough to do the research, good luck to her. I keep looking for Clariss Cliff stuff, but the op shop people seem to know all about her!
Think Op shop folk have become very much more aware of the value of things with looking on sites like eBay & Gumtree, think anything of value is probably bought by volunteers operating the shops & good luck to them.
I was very surprised as a lot of "dealers" come in every week having a snoop around. If there are things I am not too sure of we have an antique shop in town and the owner gives us the heads up on stuff and will price accordingly.

Yes that is what I have found at our local Op shops, the things of value are even locked in glass display cabinets, someone must value stock being donated.
