G rang Telstra and took then 1hr 23minutes to tell him 1/none of the old phone jacks work any more ie in the bedroom, sunroom, kitchen lounge, and office. So now there are these things on the walls etc that do 0. 2/ So now we have to go and buy the cordless phones all at our expense. 3/ The computer now has to be re programmed to talk to the new T gateway??? WTF do these people think they are doing to people apart from collecting $$$$$ hand over fist. NOT happy Jan.

We had a problem with our landline recently and when the techo came to fix it he told me that the take-up for NBN is very low in the commercial area because of costs and the speed gains are only good for gamers and movie down loads.
I have no idea how accurate any of this info is, just the opinion of one tech.
Just sayin'

Woo hoo, boys on bikes starts tonight, think I might have to get in the mood, shall I get a bike? looks like our yard dwellers may arrive tomorrow or Monday at the latest. I had a great time today lighting fire and getting rid of some scrappy bits of pruning's, then I mowed the paddock, raked up heaps of stuff off the trees then hit the wall= buggered to be precise. Also picked the car up from the panel shop and G has done the last of the wiring up between the bus and car and all lights are a workin. Test run maybe tomorrow :)

Who likes watching the boys in lycra? aka the Tour De France? for those that do like it I just might have a special memento for you all a bit later on in the race. (not to be missed as very special for the followers) ;)

Check this out.

AMAZING COCHRANE MURAL----- LOOK CLOSELY BY CLICKING ON ANY PART OF THE MURAL.

For those not living in Canada, Cochrane is NW of Calgary, Alberta and east of Banff, in the foothills of the Rockies.
This mural was unveiled last week at the Cochrane Ranch House.

Each tile is one foot square, is its own individual picture and each is by a different artist.
All of them together form this huge mural. You can click on each of the tiles to see them in detail.
Check out, especially, the horse's eye.

Click on any square that makes up the mural to see what the square really is.

Today the op shop made their first "donation" of $4k to the hospital to finish off the refurbishment of some of the bathrooms. Not to bad as we have just been open since mid Feb this yr. :D :D :D
