We've been through MB numerous times but have never considered stopping - probably due to it's proximity to Adelaide - so, for those in the know, what tourist sites & activities etc are there to see in the area.
Terry, tried the Googal flyover (still learning

) but unable to find anywhere that remotely resembles what you're talking about. Assuming I'm looking at a satellite view of Walkers Flat with the ferry on the RH side... where is the spot you're talking about in relation to that... N/S/E/W?
Road names etc.
Going on what Bruce was saying about the ferry & access etc it would seem to be on the LH side of the river?

Catriana just did a check on Wikicamps:
Quote:
Walker Flat boat ramp:
Swamp Hen Reserve.
Lots of ants on ground.
No Optus but Telstra OK.
Great spot by the river loads of space, few people fishing.
Seems a bit more sheltered from the wind than other spots on the Murray.
No water or shower & only on Unisex toilet but... kept very clean.
Is this the same spot you had in mind?

Yep. Regardless of exactly where we find a spot, the problem will be the Easter rush.
I'm intending to get there as early as I can & spread my wings REAL wide until friends turn up.
I have a friend on the local council that might lend me some DETOUR signs? Sound like a plan? lol
