Chinese knock off Wayne, Power Force, it says 2 x 2000w on the side plate but that must be for 20 secs or so because it couldn't power the 25 amp battery charger, fridge and TV at the same time, yet the W7 3000w inverter managed to power the fridge, TV, toaster or coffee machine or septic transfer pump all at the same time.Mrcoolabah1au wrote:Nice to see the GENERATOR never missed a beat good old honda
I wonder if SA Power will get the whole thing together today or not, if I didn't have a job in this morning I'd set up an off grid power pack and solar and tell them to remove their meters when they finally get here rather than connect us to the grid and start charging us for the privilege. They are such arrogant bathplugs because they still think no one could get by without them.

Re: Bathurst
Watched the bio/drama of Brock's life. Noted the announcement at the start:
"This is not a documentary. It is a drama based on his life."
At least the Miss Aust ex couldn't sue, as she threatened to do if they ignored his thumping her!
It was handled well, no graphic brawls, no black eyes, just a quiet chat with the Boss on his fishing boat.
He might have been Peter Perfect behind the wheel, but like all of us, he had flaws.
Still, I miss his Mountain forays. Still can't believe his lead of SIX LAPS in the XU1!!
I was barracking for the Mini Coopers; I drove a 4-DOOR MINI* at the time.
Thems was the days...
I remember my Dad taking me to the Easter Motorcycle meets on the Sacred Mountain. A bloke named Kel Carruthers rode in the Big Bikes (>650cc) class. I think his mount was about 1100cc, can't remember the brand. You could put a penny on the track where he changed gears every lap - and he'd run square over every penny! Beautiful rider. Artistry on two wheels...
Went to Europe to compete & showed them how to ride properly. Last I heard (late 1960s) he was a Team Manager - Germany I think - but he'd be long gone now.
No bio/drama about his life... he was in Europe for the highlights of his career, not under local noses.
* It was a panel-van with rear barn-doors!!)

Re: Bathurst
You might remember Bill Horseman then Ray, he is regular visitor at the workshop, Jerry Kooistra originally owned the workshop and built very fast Honda twins and a very fast Matchless single that he and Bill campaigned at the Isle of Man, 2nd place the first time there and Jerry claimed was the result of last minute rule changes to the class, the next time they went back Bill won outright and by quite a commanding lead.
Before the track was changed I believe Bill Horseman help the lap record and was only equalled never beaten by one other rider some yrs later

Re: Bathurst
Yes, the Horseman name rings a bell!
Some great riders when the 650 was considered a 'small' bike!
At the Mattara Festival Hillclimb in Newcastle in the 1960s one of the blokes dad used to mechanic for entered a m/c in the "Under 250cc" class. He called it 'Scuderia EggenI', 'cause he reckoned you could crack an egg into its 125cc cylinder and fill it!
