I saw Ukuleles mentioned, let's talk Ukes.

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Terry, that was Doug and Jackie. She plays the uke amongst other things. I believe she's performed at the Royal Albert Hall for the Queen and others.

Now if we can get Wayno to organise an Easter get together and the musicians bring their instruments along we could get a campfire sing along to happen that never eventuated at the Finley get to get earlier this yr.
Ohh yes it did.
Satdy and Sundy morning @ our van.
Ian and Mary (Just Wandering) took the time to come over and chat.
Actually, they figured talking may stop the players. No such luck Ian...........

Best someone gets sorted out to organise something for 2017, central to Melbourne/Adelaide ?
Maybe Horsham - Dimboola area but off the main roads.
A new thread perhaps with thoughts and ideas ;)

That's right, was too, thanks for correcting that Jon. There are few more contenders for a muso get together and wonderful people to go with it

I've been playing the Uke for the past 6 years, on and off between finger ops, after finding that with arthritis I could no longer play the guitar. Uke players are a bit "different", especially once they get together in a group. I've joined a few on my travels, and when they do a "gig" they dress in the oddest outfits. Each to their own. When I practice I sit inside and quietly strum....and sing.....and relax. Now, when Greg practices the banjo.....that's another story.

I now have around 8 ukuleles, my fave is the one I bought in Hawaii, but I have two banjo ukuleles, one new and one 100 years old. If I want to stop people parking near us, I just get out the new banjo uke and start strumming it lol.

One of the easiest instruments to play, but you can also get clever on it if you want!

Cheers
Happy plucking

Stuck in the middle again!
I found that my beloved old piano is too heavy for the van, and it didn't fit inside the door, :o :o so the tiny uke was the next best thing.

Ok I will admit it,  I have a couple of ukes that I am trying to master. One soprano and one tenor. The tenor is definitely my preferred instrument, just on sound alone. I love the more mellow tones!!!    :D :D

All the Ukes are coming out of the closet wardrobe, that's great.

That line from Dee just about sums up the Uke 8-)

And one of the hardest instruments to listen to, along with the bagpipes. ;)
