Re: It’s Election Time again…
Thats a very interesting read. It would depend on which side of politics you follow as to how it could be accepted.
But it is a fair statement to say that the whole country is being run by spin doctors and scaremongers, and it doesn't matter who is steering the ship.

Typical journalist ramblings. I didn't see any suggestions on how to fix any of the problems he raved about or offer himself up as a candidate for the election so that he can be part of the resurrection.

Re: It’s Election Time again…
The saddest thing is that Which ever party is in power it seems the job of every other member (not in winning party) is to block them, tear them down, etc rather than band together and help get good ideas & legislation through.
Relate it to a family group? If everyone in that group helps & supports each other, life is a piece of cake. If they are tearing each other's throats out it'll only ever end one way.
I'd love to see total support by which ever party does not win until maybe 6 weeks before an election.
Of course if some totally wrong legislation is proposed then it should never even get to the decision voting process.
Family talk around the table come to mind?
Same as the media. I know a lot on here reckon the Libs/Nats "own" the papers but to me as soon as the election is over it appears like it's their job to rip the winners apart. (both parties the same thing)
Just look at the job they did on Pauline, Barnaby & many others. Credit to them to still be around I say!

Hmmm.... "The Dismissal" comes to mind ..... Why, when the facts came out the offenders weren't locked up for treason and why it was possible to change the rules after the event, but not before ......BruceS wrote: ↑Thu Jan 06, 2022 8:01 am The saddest thing is that Which ever party is in power it seems the job of every other member (not in winning party) is to block them, tear them down, etc rather than band together and help get good ideas & legislation through.

It's only that we really do live in a democracy that we didn't have similar to the US election riots ..... if they hadn't hung him, they would have shot him ..... To me, that was the start of the rot setting in ....

When you're dealing with deranged ideologues, you can expect nothing else. Especially when those ideologues represent a number of bizarre ideologues, none of which can be shown to be real and of benefit to the future. When it comes to election day, you can be almost positive just about everyone will vote for the major parties, because stupidly they think there is no other option and are to lazy to vote below the line. The future looks like almost cause more and more.
These political fools refuse to see the true economic reality, when the country was locked down and the never ending stream of immigrants refugees and supposed skilled workers was stopped, our economy tool off. Down here in Tas, local tourism kept the place going and we were safe and pretty happy, especially as our roads were safe and free of Aus and foreign urban morons thinking they had the right to do whatever they wanted as they were on holidays. Now it's bedlam on our roads and even though Aus borders are supposedly closed to tourists, we are seeing lots of them. Yet many Aussies can;t get in, my ladies flight was cancelled when she was at the airport, now she has to try to get another one and that's extremely difficult in Europe.
