I guess there's a lot of ways to do it but deciding the best value for money is the problem.
I really think the better idea is to sell & rebuy a bigger one makes more sense if we really do need a bigger one.
So much to consider.
Bigger means higher costs for propulsion, slipping , insurance and mooring. It MAY also be a little harder in the wind to tie up along the river or in the mooring pen.
It's VERY similar to motorhomes........ I've noticed several have updated lately?
Brad, David, Rob & SteveW amongst them. (I won't mention Tanks!)

Re: Where's Bruce?
I'd be careful Bruce you are now a boat person . Good thing your mate aint still in office .haha .
How about a boat that's 30Ft across so I can park on it . you would need a bigger mooring then .
Just thinking out loud .
Bernie .

Re: Where's Bruce?
Bruce Lake Macquarie is the biggest salt water lake in Australia, as Deborah posted the water runs in & out thru Swansea Channel, the channel is very silted & they are always having to dredge it to allow deep keel boats access to the ocean.
Swansea bridges have to be opened to allow big vessels & yachts in & out of the lake.
Actually think it is illegal to live on board permanently any water craft in the lake, having said that a couple are living onboard our old yacht, we often see it near Pulbah Island, the chap we sold it to took it to Brisbane Waters, Gosford then it came back up here.
There are a few house boats that are for hire but even those you don't see often.

Re: Where's Bruce?
We actually witnessed the event, and I witnessed the rude word when Wendy started to climb back down and Bruce started the engine..... it was a quick climb down the ladder once the first step was locatedBruceS wrote:Bernie did you know that Wendy finally got up there?
Was pretty dark on New Year's Eve and all the party goers were either up there or going to go up there to watch the fireworks.
Next thing I knew she was up there!
Thought the fireman's lift was going to be on the cards (by Brian... Homeless) but nope, down she came!
She is OK when she can't see anything!
I've since bought 3 blindfolds but they're being (over)used in the Bedroom ........... (not saying by who!!)

Drove the truck home from Melbourne yesterday, yet another adventure into what can go pearshaped but that will be for another thread.

Did you see any of the canoes on your way home to Mannum Bruce? they were being followed by a houseboat.(fund raiser for cancer by one of the service clubs ? Lions, Rotary etc) they stopped the night moored in front of friends place at Walker flat, a wonder you missed the "noise"

They won't be going past us for a day or two I reckon.
We are just past Mannum .... between Mannum and the Kia Marina which you can remember?

Re: Where's Bruce?
Went for a drive yesterday to Mount Gambier.
Back in Mannum today but had some 'fun' on the way!
Tanks can probably remember when I 'tamed' a lion in Waikerie?
Today I took on something else!
Started out well when I got the coveted ear hold & footpeg .......... went downhill from there on ..........
Yep .... went downhill fast! ... Very fast!!
Think I better resort to taming smaller animals & training them???
