Getting back to part of the previous discussion...

We did look at some retirement villages... from the outside. Living in your neighbours' laps (both sides) did not appeal to us. We were on a 0.3 acre block, and still had one neighbour 1.75m from our bedroom window, and the other 3.5m from the kitchen! It was a long block.

We also looked at the Homebase developments. Standard 3.6m garage door still left us 6cm over-size. They are catering for the smaller m/h market.

We've moved from 0.3 acres to 1.25 acres... and enough space for Girt between the garage and my 10mx8m 'Playpen'. Nearest neighbour is 75m away!

I understand what you have done, Ray, but I couldn't glean from your explanation whether the site selection was for the benefit of you or for the benefit of your neighbours.

Steve I would say it would be for the benefit of the neighbours, we were right next to Ray in a caravan park and boy could he snore

I often hear them big birds flying over..... from Sydney or Brisbane? I think the Qld ones would be further North than Mannum.
Was going to ask you one day how you used to feel going through that little tunnel in Murray Bridge just before going over the bridge over the Murray?
Seems to be pretty low & narrow!! Not many people realize it goes under that intersection right out in front of the Hotel.
In the VERY early days I assume it used to go over the road bridge? A bit like the one at Paringa one near Renmark.

I was flying from the Gold Coast, not sure how high, had the flight tracker on the ipad but never looked at the height.
Next time I come to Mannum I will bring my laptop and show you the dashcam video going through the tunnel and over the bridge also the near miss we had at Monteith just before Tailem Bend.
