Chuck, I'm not convinced that is the word that Dot was going to use. But I like your train of thought.

Dot, All the best mate, I know you can do this.

Thinking of you & George, sooner the better I reckon & then you need to take off in the bus when you are feeling fit again.

Dot,

when I had my PET, ....

you're laying there waiting for it to finish. Seem to take ages. After a while, I worked out how far the head steps/travels in each scan. Mine was about 10 cm, and how long it took. (time)

Then, I could work out how many scans were left.

All this made the time go quicker as you mentally counted down the seconds of each scan, and the steps left.

All the best with all of this.
jon.

All done, Kay no iodine for this scan they use sugar :) did a glucose test before scan = 5.4 . Then they connect you up to saline drip for a few seconds then put the glucose through. Put onto a recliner chair a blanket over to keep you warm , tv turned on and told to relax for an hr. Then they come in disconnect the drip, go to the loo to get rid of any spare wee and you are then put on the scan table but your arms are placed in a sort of sling to keep them from dropping off the bed side, you are then told to lay back and think of mother England for the scan. I just sort of nod off and before you know it they are telling you to it's all over and free to go. Needle is taken out your arm, you are handed the scan disk and pics and that was that. Got a ph call from the hosp with book in details for Sat at 10am so there it is. woop woop woop here we go again , chins up and keep smiling you lot. :D :D :D
