We have had rain on & off all day here in the Wyong Shire just enough to be a real nuisance.

It was the weirdest storm ever, at one stage there were stars each side of the black thunder and lightening part in the middle, then it head off towards Adelaide. Now a new one is forming and headed this way, complete with the flashing lights in the cloud, but this one has big winds as well, it's gunna be a strange night.
The rain part would drive you crazy Bernie, you can hear it on the roof but by there doesn't ever seem to be enough to make the ground wet. Not that I'm complaining, I'm well and truly over all the rain in Lake Illawarra for the last few yrs, where 4 days in a row that it didn't rain was some sort of record.

We woke to a magnificent sun rise & then about 6.40 a mist appeared, thunder, lightning & rain followed for a couple of hours then all cleared for us to start bowling at 10.30, cloudy, dull, slight wind but no more rain, it was Mothers' Day bowls, we had a lovely lunch & were given chocolates & a scratchy.

We have had an overcast drizzling misty rain for most of the day here. It is a bit of a nuisance because I am trying to pack for the latest roadtrip, but we do need some decent rain.

Beautiful day on the Goldcoast today. Lucky me even got to mow the lawn. Otherwise they would be a foot high when I get back in a few weeks.
Cheers

A quick spray with round-up, stops that grass mowing problem..... or move to South Australia, lawns are a luxury item here
