I got the truck back from the rego bloke.... at 3:30pm.... ran out of light and the headaches got me so resume packing the truck tomorrow... now 5 days behind schedule, I should be in Mannum now not still packing the truck at the Lake grrr.... Add to that, pulled in the driveway at the aluminium suppliers and one of the tailgate came crashing to the ground, sheared the bolt at one end of the bar that holds the ramps up, lucky no one was behind me.... now the water pump has started to dribble water out the weep hole.... will carry lots of water and fix it at Mannum

Terry if it loses too much water it might pay to undo the radiator cap on click or get a 4PSI cap. I've been known to leave the cap off on a tractor!

Hi, all.
T.1.Terry - did your grandad dislike chinamen intensely? Sounds like a fun day.
Started fabricating a new rear bumper today. Interesting. I'm using alloy, but if anyone else rearends me( then scarpers) I'm going for 4mm steel channel. At least I'll have a template for my new design.

Re: What did you do to your rig today?
I'll feed it a few bottles of Wynns Stop leak, that will glue it up and the bearing should last long enough to get to Mannum. Had a 12 ltr Volvo come into the workshop that had run all the way back from the top of WA to Wollongong on Wynns stop leak, it completely sealed the weep hole resulting in the water running back through the primary case (gear driven pump) Didn't appear to much damage done and I would have reused the gears but the boss said replace the lot so I did, flushed all the watery muck out of the tappet covers and sump and it went back on the road.BruceS wrote:Terry if it loses too much water it might pay to undo the radiator cap on click or get a 4PSI cap.
