Refuelled here and Diesel 166.9cpl so happy with that. For the first time since we left home I was bitten by a poofta mozzie . How do I know it was a poofta mozzie ? you may ask, well she bit me on the bum. [emoji38] [emoji38] and is it itching like crazy... and just out of spite I will not scratch it ;) Also have the beginnings of a cold sore. Have a great spot here under / between nice trees so no need for the solar panels to be exposed. Time to head off and do some restocking of food stuff. Where are you heading to Helen?
Put some saliva on your mozzie bite that will stop your itch
WeWill be heading west but not for at least a month Told Tonya we would stay in the area for 4weeks then see how she is Bloody cold here mate xx

Dot, get some "Comfrey" cream or ointment in a small jar from chemist or health store, apply it as soon as you feel the tingling on the lip. Keep re-applying it each time you think of it as the cream dries up fairly quickly & we all have a tendency to lick our lips. If you get it early enough it will not blow out on the lip & nobody will be any the wiser.

Have been using it for years.

You could try the young cowboy method. Jumps off his horse out the front of the saloon, lifts the horses tail and sticks his finger up its clacker, then wipes it on his lips. The town Sheriff is watching this strange practice and it's finally too much for him so he asked the cowboy what it was all about. He replied "chapped lips",
"so how does that help?" asked the sheriff
"Sure stops me from licking 'em"

Might try that Terry as there is a miniature pony tied up near us, Just looked out the window and there are roughly 14 kangaroos of varying sizes all around the bus, some went out the gate and then a car came so the roos scattered but 2 of them went down the street (for a beer) ;) the rest of them are having their sundown stroll. They are just beautiful. Been a very different day to yesterday, windy gusts all day but still warm enough to not have a jumper on. Time for tea now.

Blowing a gale yesterday & today in Theodore. But the temp is still warm enough to need the a/c running.
Did walkies around the showgrounds today, minus hounds. (At home with housesitters. :) )
Met lots of caravanners & a solo lady in a wizz-bang. Took ages to get back to Girt!
There's something about caravanners...
At the Nindigully Pub, where we took a quick squiz en route, there would have been 60+ vehicles of various design scattered throughout about 10 acres of open bush with tracks surrounding the pub. But there was a fence alongside the pub. Lined up along it, cheek-by-jowl & tail to the fence, were about a dozen caravans! They were packed in like sardines! Closer than they would at a CP! :? WTF?
Then we arrived in Theodore. As we wanted power & water, we were prepared to pay the (now) $15/n... (was $10 last time we visited).
We set up camp in the middle of an empty paddock, about 30m from the nearest vehicle. We connected services, ran out the awning, attached the shadecloth side wall and put out the chairs & table. Comfy campsite.
About an hour into our quietude, THREE caravans arrived, and formed a U-shaped camp... 2 FEET from our awning pegs! Then one of them had the hide to drag the smelly wheelie-bin from its position 20ft down-wind and plonk it right at Girt's nose - up-wind of us - explaining he'd "moved it to a more convenient spot, closer for everyone"!!!
I replied, "A bit TOO close, mate!" upon which he returned it to its original spot. GGGrrrrrr!
BTW, they had their own happy hour tonight, while we were enjoying a quiet red, 15ft away... but they didn't bother with the common courtesy of inviting us to join them. I would have refused anyway.

Fortunately, our VERY near neighbours have gone out for the day...
Here's what their corral of three vans looks like:

And this is half of what they had to choose from...
