Up at 6:30 this morning in an attempt to beat the humidity, not a hope. Across the glass pond lagoon you can see the rain drops hitting the water, but across the land it is still so hot the drops don't appear, they are boiled off either as soon as they hit or maybe even before they actually reach the ground because it couldn't be heard on the patio roof out back.
Drained the hot water cyl so I could flush the mud out of the bottom, one of the down sides to the place once being on river water and the Mannum dust that settles every night being washed into the tanks from the roof. Need to figure out how to flush the pipes next, then maybe a water filter after the pumps to stop the problem reoccurring.

Morning early crew to dark at the moment to se what's in store for us today .
They had around 40+ mm of rain back home according to the neighbour's. Close to 200mm at my daughters in Maryborough .

Morning all still raining here on and off but mostly on. Storms expected again this afternoon. Had some heavy rain last night.

Turning into a great day, my son has just been sworn in as a officer in the airforce and heads to Sale in Victoria for 17 weeks training.

My daughter and family are flying in to day to surprise mum for her 60th birthday this weekend. Will be great to see them again and get my cuddles and kisses from the grand daughter.

Morning looks like the rain may be clearing off. Well we got mum yesterday had no clue the daughter and family were coming. Nice to see the big smile on her face when I walked in with the little one.

Been up since 3am Qld time to get the smoker going and the pork in. Going to be a long day.
