That is quite a nice looking unit and could be customised to do just what is needed. If a bit under powered an electric turbo for getting up to speed or hill climbs is an option these days combined with good batteries and good solar and even add in big DC to DC charging to act as an over run brake to assist in recovering some of the wasted energy and save the brakes a bit.

The other option is to build a custom annex set up that uses the teardrop as the end and van as the right hand side by jack knifing the tear drop when setting up camp. We were going to build something like that when we had only the Kombi to travel in, but then we bought Brian's Mazda and refitted it out to do the job in the one vehicle. Naturally we now need more room so the trailer is looking like it might be part of a modified camping set up there is never "enough" room it appears

You got that right laddie...........that said............why do we keep downsizing...........
Generally there is a better way to use the space you have than the way you are using the space you have.

We have a very simple shower/dunny tent setup for the TD that involves a length of bent conduit, a tent pole and a shower curtain. Takes 2mins to setup and doesn't have to be coerced/forced into a bag when we move on.

It's an Isuzu.... just have a look at all the small trucks about on the road. The house would need to be checked over but that's like anything else.

Make sure it comes with an Electricty compliance, RWC and Gas cert.

Ballina Campervan & M/h Centre may have something second-hand that would suit you, Jeanette.
They had a couple in their yard last time we passed that way.
Take a look at <horizonmotorhomes.com.au> for their range of new campervans. Email them on <info@bcmc.com.au> and ask about s/h stock.
No guarantees, but it's worth investigating all avenues.
Of course, if your budget will stretch as far as a newie...

Thanks so much Ray and Jon, Horizon make great campers, I'm not sure about Euro vans though. Not much else to choose from. The appeal of a Ute camper was a Japanese Ute but even most of those are euro motors these days the Ford, Collie and Nissan.

I like the idea of Izusu and Toyota in a small package big enough to stand with a shower and toilet. The Elf size looks good. Not many around at the moment.

You need to stop procrastinating, Janette. It's now over 3 years since you started looking.
