When our two kids were at school (now both over 30!) we had a Breville breadmaker which was used every weekday to make bread for four lunches. That used one complete 750g loaf every day.
Did that for five years.
Had to replace the paddle twice (wore the keyed slot smooth) and the bread bowl once (bottom seal wore out), but parts were no prob, and reasonably priced.

We were still using it once a week in 2009. Just two of us to feed...
After three years on the road, when it was put into storage, it still functioned when unpacked.
However, we traded it in on a newer Breville model with two paddles and a drop-in-the-extras bin. (Flash, huh?)
Very happy with the newie, which we've also used to mix the pizza dough.

Can't praise the Breville brand highly enough.

BTW, we use Lauke bread mix or the Lighthouse brand... both tasty & reliable.
