And therein lies the problem of the old forum, Jim. You want to express an opinion but you knock everyone else's opinion. SHOW ME WHERE!! It's not pleasant for most, but for those who derive pleasure from such masochism there are plenty of forums to spend time on.

I think I'll start a new topic - Suggested Forums for Masochists.

dream4red wrote:Jim, I have totally ignored your trolling because I am just not interested in the tone of your reply &/or questions. You know the answers, you think you know it all, so why would I bother to actually enlighten you as to the realities and actions of the Australian Caravan Association?
Far out, you don't even know who you are writing to. I was booted off the cmca forum many times because I had the temerity to tell the truth as I see it, my opinion is valued just as much as yours here, so the fact that I don't drive a "complying vehicle" has no bearings on my thoughts about many things that are discussed here.

The CMCbloodyA is not the only way to get dump points in towns, it is just one of many groups of individuals and/or caravan clubs who are trying to get towns interested in the dump point idea. Other groups and indivuals are just not yelling from the rafters to tell the world what they are doing or what they have achieved. It may be the squeaky wheel, but often the quiet sweet approach will have similar effects.
I hope then that you are still not harbouring bitterness in your heart which reflects in your opinion?

I asked one question - and no one here has been able to answer it honestly - just jumped on me. Seems like to me there is no answer?

No one wants to join a conversation that can only beget bigotry - we try not to do that here.

End conversation, perhaps?

The difference in the forums? I think the other forums would have locked this thread long ago, on this forum I believe the members are mature enough to see where this thread is headed and simply avoid any further posts. One wonders if this was the intention but as this is not an advertising arm of the CMCA forum I can't see a down side of letting this thread die a natural death rather than it being highlighted with a locked tag fanning people's natural curiosity to read the thread and see why it was locked.

The past is the past lets leave it in the past & move forward, life is to short for negative thinking all the time, be happy & post about positive & happy events to much trouble in our world without creating it.

Yes, I agree - which makes me wonder why some want to keep referring to it? :?:

A future that stands the test is a future built by learning from the mistakes of the past. To make a mistake is human, to keep making the same mistakes is just dumb, so if we don't look at what happened in the past we will never learn from our mistakes.
I do agree with you sentiments though, far too much negativity about these days, life's too short not to have a smile on your face and a cheerful 'gooday' as you pass a total stranger when you are out for walk

One of the reasons I read this forum is because MOST are intelligent people who can discuss a subject, give their side and then step back and let it be.
One of the reasons I refused to sign into the AHM or what ever it is called (I did get three or four invites or requests for me to join) is because the people who were running it were the very same people who dragged the original CMCA forum to the ground and have attempted to do the same with the caravanners forum and the GreyNomad forum with their holier than thou treatment of everyone who does not follow their thinking.
Many here have either joined and are members of the CMCA, have been members and left because of the way they were treated while members or have no interest of being members so to continually push the so called good points of the club/business you are to many demonstrating the attitude that forced many old members away.
Most people on these forums are interested in travel topics and if they have problems ask a question and want a simple layman's explanation not a tirade of abuse, belittling and have many threads run into a I'm so great I can talk in language you cant understand etc.
Most on here understand that many here have basic knowledge and when we ask for information we don't need detailed technical talk just a simply layman's solution.
