I think the alternative property at Sapphire is no longer a goer... well not at the moment anyway. The down turn in the mining industry has forced my mate to travel interstate to find work so his son now has the place and as he is a mine worker is only there when not living at the mine.

We had a look at bedford weir on the way south all looks good, hot showers clean toilets, plenty of room,
The only down side was limited internet service both telstra and optus, and tv unless you have a dish.

Bedford is once again on our red claw "dam hopping list " for about April I think. After that up to German Mine & Theresa Dam. I think I said before it might be a good idea to contact the caretakers if definitely going there, especially in July, to ask them to keep the lower level free if possible as I do not think that they would shut any part of the upper level as just too popular. We have been there July & it has been minus 2 degrees!

With a heavy heart,we won't be making the gathering in July as I was informed that a certain trial will be starting on Aug 1st 2016 (lasting around 10 days) and we have waited for this event for the past 20 odd years and just can't miss the finale. If things change we shall be there with bells on.

It hasn't been postponed but the backlog of cases has made times hard to get a closer court time. If IT does plead guilty on the day we shall be on the road heading Nth that night but I really doubt IT will.
