Hmm... only crabs that got anywhere near my nether regions was when I was crabbing with a neighbour whilst in Darwin, in his tinnie, & we both pulled in a big muddy each! Never seen two blokes move so fast - thankfully to opposite ends of the tinnie.

A few seconds later we calmed down & I let him do the deed of tying them both up... well, he was the experienced one!!

Currently in a little van park at Milla Milla, about 20 mins from Atherton on the Tablelands & will probably stay up in the high country for the duration of the wet/cyclone season.

Hi Chuck we stayed in the same park some years ago, it was a pretty laid back operation then, but handy to the falls and other attractions.

Bernie... yep, done all the waterfalls when we arrived in the Tablelands 6 months ago, now gunna hang around till the end of the wet to see what they look like in full flood!

Bobr... also yep, did that one about a month ago, had to wait a long time for our lunch & after asking a lady (poss the boss) to check our order it arrived shortly after followed by said lady with 2 coffees, a plate of chocolates & an apology. It absolutely pissed down as we were leaving!

Chris... G'day mate, yeah the park now has new owners - 6 months ago - lovely couple Rob(ert) & Sandy, he's a chippy & very handy with a lot of other things as well. Has built & sold a couple of boats - dunno what type - also converted a couple of Coasters & Civilians & currently has a Volvo summatorother double decker looking coach thingy that he admittedly just threw together to accompany another couple over to WA, I think it was. Not the best looking from the outside but he's not going to keep it so probably explains why.

The park would be one of the greenest I've seen & although on the smallish size is well laid out.

Amenities are on the oldish side bet well maintained & spotless.

The showers are on the largish size with new shower roses & no pressure limitation, toilets are a good size also not coffin size like some are.

Plenty of shady sites & at the moment that is really appreciated... all in a beaut tropical setting.

Also a largish non powered area if that is a preference.

The first site we had was big enough to get the van in, awning out, car alongside & still room to walk around & It was the biggest & best shaded of them all... fantastic. Until around 7 - 7:30 we thought we heard rain... but walking out from under the awning it wasn't. Next day, around the same time the same thing happened & as I'm trying to figure out what it was, Rob came strolling around. Explained what I was looking for & he got a sheepish look on his face & said... "Hmm, that could be a possum - sorry, forgot to mention them. It is now called "Pissy Possum".

The next morning the collapsible ladder came out along with a bucket, sponge & extendable truck brush. There were two distinct stains up there, the one nearest the large plastic front hatch - yes it was open at the time but missed... phew - was reasonably easy to clean with the sponge but the other - first one - further back near the 4 season hatch which was also open & missed took a considerable effort. Nothing seemed to work until I tried a bottle of 'JIF' a creamy cleaner... smeared in on, left it for a cupla mins & voila - all clean.

We then moved into the site next door...

Love this little van park.

Just for the southerners who would prefer some warm weather Lake Elphinstone would certainly be warmer than Bedford as further east & north.
Now just a question would it be possible for MH friends of ours from Bundy join us? Chuck & Catriana met them 3 years ago at our home or will they have to join the forum?
