What is the problem? if it rains it rains and if it shines it shines, the dates and place were made months back . So what if it gets muddy, get gumboots and pretend you are down south, it is the company that you go to these gatherings for. It rained at Gum bend gathering, it rained at Walker flat and Ashbourne turn outs, if someone gets bogged then there is some entertainment Stay with what you proposed Chuck and relax.
Queen of the Banal & OT chatter and proud of it. If it offends you then tough titty titty bang bang.
Sorry about my comment on another thread. It was just a heads up because we're currently up there. At the end of July we'll be in Mareeba with about 1200 other Rvers. We have previous commitments in Cairns after Xmas in July. Those going North to Cairns (as I have planned this year) prefer to get up there and start heading South before the end of September because the weather turns very humid in October. Of course this means that by the end of September Lake Elphinstone will be over crowded as the Mexicans head South again. Being full time Highway Wanderers we travel differently than many. We'll be in Tassie at the end of October.
Full time Jon? Sold out in the Grampians? lol
Funny how we all want SOME sort of home even if we seldom are there!!
Then there are others like SteveW that just can't make up their minds where Home is!!

The property was just for somewhere to do work on the Motorhome that can't get done in a Township without neighbors reporting to the EPA, and somewhere to start stock piling a bit of junk that can't be carried in the motorhome. We'll settle one day, but until then we're still on the one year trial we started 8 years ago.

We last lived on an Acre in the centre of Hoppers Crossing. The surrounding neighbours thought that if we made a noise it had to be four times as loud because our block of land was four times the size of theirs.
