I had the Pfizer jab, as my GP suggested that the AZ possiblymay have an adverse affect on some of my ailments. All good during the day, but night one my right kidney was letting me know it wasn't happy. All OK in the morn, and all day, then night two, thought kidney was going to explode. Next day all was well. Was the same after second shot. And still is. My eldest son had Pfizer and he experienced similar side affects. The medical know this but they don't really tell you much, but is all on a govt website somewhere, apparently.
I'm not yet convinced that the governing bodies didn't rush these vaccines through with all the appropriate testing.
But it certainly is better than the other option.

They were clean until they unknowingly went to some loo or had a shower in some truck stop.
It's not like an infected person immediately turns purple.
They were having regular tests & that's how they found out they were pos. They didn't run & hide or pretend the didn't know.

To me my comment was valid, All people that are going from border to border should be vaccinated having had the 2 jabs. Re your comment saying :they didn't run and hide" well two of them did just that and refusing to co-operate. Not just picking on truckies but they are the ones who should know better.

Wednesday, had a phone call from the partner - Leon - of our youngest daughter - Simone - who live on their property at Ilford, not far from Bathurst, saying that he had taken her to Bathurst hospital because she was complaining of really bad pain on her left side, shoulder & neck!!

Hospital staff were a bit complexed as all her symptoms were well above average, so they then contacted Orange Base Hospital... a much more modern facility &, apparently, more qualified splecialists. After this consultation she was immediately transferred by ambulance to Orange. Their specialist conducted all the relevant tests & were totally dumbfounded that they could not pinpoint a source of the problem. A coronary specialist was brought in & asked Simone when this all started. She replied that about a week after her first AZ vaccine!!! Further blood tests along this line showed that she had numerous blood clots on the lungs!!!

OH $HIT !!!

She was then placed into ICU & started receiving 3 injections each morning on different parts of her body, thigh, hip & buttock with something designed to increase the platelettes in the blood.... her initial score was quite low.

That night neither of us got much sleep & on Thursday morning we packed a few things into the car & drove the 4 hours to Orange although we were aware that we would not be permitted to enter the hospital to see Simone, so Leon organised an Air B&B for us for thursday/friday nights.

The longest 48 hours of our lives!

Just did a facetime with her this morning & it looks like she will be going home tomorrow... her platelettes are now well above the Dr's expectations & all other tests are perfect. She will be on blood thinners for a few months to stop the clots from moving & allow her normal bodily functions to take the necessary action to gradually dissolve them

Phew!!

She is 49.

That facetime was the best thing that could have happened for us, enabling a visual connect.

She looks just fine now.

Fingers, toes & legs all crossed here now...

Sorry to hear that Chuck hope Simone recovers completely.

At 67 I had the Pfizer as I walked in to Pfizer only hub and they didn't kick me out(this before the sh!t hit fan in NSW). I was lucky (as well as my wife) and had no effects from either injection. Even the injection site wasn't overly sore.

Chuck, Simone is just like her parents, fighting all the way, she will be ok as long as she doesn't let you use the loo. When we saw our GP for a yes or no to the jab she said "your immune system is no more, IF you get the virus you have a bigger chance of not making it so you decide" Easy peazy jab me. No sore arm or anything.

Just watching the morning news, and there is discussion about having 'No Jab- No entry ' events. My question is, how do you prove that you have had both doses, I was given nothing to show that I have had both doses?
It shows that I have on the MyGov Medicare website, but no card or anything was issued.
