The drive way or house bricks.
Then the over spray doesn't matter as much.
Ahhh.... but if the bottom section of the bus was the same colour as the driveway, applying the second coat could become confusing .... where do you start and where do you stop .... I'm thinking I should stop now actually
T1 Terry
Yehh You'd better stop
Or keep going and spray all the paving, then Margaret sees the nice new paint and decides the entrance needs a "touch up' , then the lounge 'n
And we all know where that stops at !

ahhh. I thought Terry was meaning "stop" as in "end". Like we'd never hear the end of it from George. Hold on George. Give me a few minutes to find my tin hat and put it on..... righteo. Ready now.

Take no notice of them George, they are naughty boys. I am interested in what you finally settle on (paint wise) as we have a few bubbles on the bus side and also around the windscreen. Just don't fall

Dot, I tried Dulux All Metal Primer over some of the old paintwork and it caused the paint to blister so then had to sand that section back to the metal. I gave up and applied Dulux 1Step Prep (primer, sealer & undercoat), water based and will probably topcoat with the 2 pack stuff suggested by Terry.

I had that when applying thinned top coat to the bus. On advice from a auto paint supplier, they said I was using to much thinners and possibly to heavier coat and it was dissolving/softening the previous coat.

I did not use any thinner (acetone), as the paint was very thin to start with.

Now that I have most or the primer on, rain is forecast for the next week.
