Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Jd, it all depends on the size and height of your rig or vehicle when loading the ferry. On the Melbourne end they put you in 3 lines and load from there, cars go to various levels and big rigs are put with trucks etc on the main vehicle deck. Off loading is done with big rigs getting off first most times followed by each level of cars.

At the tas end, they put you in different lines according to size and level you will be on, as there is much more room at the Tas terminal and you get loaded the same way, cars up high and big rigs on the main deck. It's all very easy, with no hassles and the loading crew look after you really well.

In Melbourne it's bow loading and in Tas, stern loading, who gets on first may be last off. It all depends of the number and size as to who gets off first. There are two ramps, most cars use the upper ramp, big rigs drive straight on.

We have a big rig with the big trailer and always get off in the first batch, getting on we can be near last. Make sure you read the details of the ship and where everything is before getting on board, then you won't be running round trying to find a way to get to your cabin. The most important thing is to remember the colour of the stairway doors, so it is easy to find the vehicle when arriving. Otherwise, as we see regularly, there are people running round completely lost on the vehicle decks because they didn't take notice of the colour of the stairwell or lift they used after loading. That's when problems arise and people can't get off because some fool has lost their car and it is blocking everyone else. This happens every trip and it can be a real pain, luckily it is rare to happen on the main deck, truckies are ready to go as soon as the ship arrives and if you are blocking someone, they can and do pull your rig to the side and you will be stuck until everyone else is off.

Good morning everyone , good post NP .
We had a uneventful trip down to Donnybrook , Going to do a drive down to the Warf this morning before catching up with some friends from Melbourne . They visited us last year back home .
One thing I did back in Tungamah before we left was to fuel up $131.8 in the silo yards plus weighed the bus all up full of fuel water and all of Carols stuff we came in at 8.06 tonne .
One sleep more on the mainland and one on the boat how's that Bob .

Should be an interesting trip over for you Bernie, our weather is about to deteriorate quite a bit for the next week. There's a gale warning for Bass strait Sunday night and 4m seas, so you could have a wet and windy introduction to Tas. Which way are you heading when you get off the Ferry, with the coming weather, my suggestion would be across to the east coast via George town, which will be more pleasant for the first week and it's a wonderful drive with great places to park. The west and central Tas, will be wet windy and cool during next week, according to the forecast.
