Basement level, the wheels and tyres are on the ground floor, the living area is on the first floor and communications, power generation and climate control are on the upper level ..... it is our house on wheels for the next two yrs at least, not just something to go on holidays with, so it needs to be fully self contained, and washing clothes is part of that

T1, you're kinda lucky that you don't have any slideouts to worry about. We have the same available floor area that you have, but nowhere to drop in a washer. One came with our Winnie, but it lives in the garage. Never used it.
Have a think about how you will dry wet clothes. There are some good portable clotheslines. Try not to be tempted to string a clothesline on your awning supports, unless you can transfer all that weight to the ground.

That's a good point. If there is a bin on the other side, a dyer could go into the basement there. Although, then you'd need to carry everything around to the other side and back. You could put all the batteries on the other side and mount the dryer and washer next to each other.

Maybe even upgrade to a washer dryer combo thing. This would save having to disassemble both to get up the hole.
