you will find these planted all over they are stock fodder trees, when in flower the flowers vary from pink to mauve, I think they are Judas Trees, some times called tree lucerne, (Cercus Siliquastrum), the problem with them is that the cattle become "addicted" to them and wont eat anything else. and have to be weaned off it.
You will find groves in all stages from shrubby sticks to mature trees, that were planted during the height of the last drought, and depending on whether they were just left to be grazed or kept as a plantation.

I thought they were what's left of a Paulownia plantation. The floods couple of years ago killed them.

They are Paulonia (? correct spelling) a hardwood tree. They were totally knocked down during the last floods & yes their flowers are beautiful.

But the trunks look totally different, the ones I took pics of had smooth white trunks and the pic of the googled Paulownia trees have a dark corrugated trunk..?? anyway they were very pretty.

John there are many fields of Leucena trees up Highway 17- a very popular cattle feed as well.
We have many rellies at Eidsvold & they always refer to the trees at Ceratadus as Paulonia. There are also paddocks of them west from Esk.
