Terry reckons you’ll only be able to wash your underwear in a 3 kg washer, maybe a couple of teashirts.

I thought the same when we bought it, but I've been pleasantly surprised by just how much it can wash in a single load. Enough to fill on of those collapsible buckets from Aldi for the trip from the machine to the clothesline.
It will wash 7 x T shirts and all the undies and socks in a single load, 2 x queen size bed sheets and the two pillowcases in a single load, 7 prs of jeans ..... but about 3 jumpers is getting to the weight limit when they are wet, it screams for mercy with probably 20 beeps in a row, then shuts down on the final spin otherwise and something has to be removed and try again Towels is another one that suffers the possible final spin refusal ...... but not a serious issue, whatever had to be removed can be spin separately while hanging the other lot out on the clothes line.

We bought two of the Aldi collapsible washing lines, only used 1 so far because it's so hot during the day, it holds to machine loads and the first load is dry by the time the third load is ready to hang out, the sheets don't fit of course, so that requires a rope between the rear ladder, the rear awning outer arm and back to the last knob on the anti flapper thingy for the awning .... so it should work ok when free camping

T1, you're kinda lucky that you don't have any slideouts to worry about. We have the same available floor area that you have, but nowhere to drop in a washer. One came with our Winnie, but it lives in the garage. Never used it.
Have a think about how you will dry wet clothes. There are some good portable clotheslines. Try not to be tempted to string a clothesline on your awning supports, unless you can transfer all that weight to the ground.

That's a good point. If there is a bin on the other side, a dyer could go into the basement there. Although, then you'd need to carry everything around to the other side and back. You could put all the batteries on the other side and mount the dryer and washer next to each other.

Maybe even upgrade to a washer dryer combo thing. This would save having to disassemble both to get up the hole.

It would need it's own high speed caster wheels in place of the feet so it could get over a bump in the road ...... or maybe it would sit on the caster wheels when the Winnie was not up on the hydraulic legs

Then there is the drive into town to recharge the car so we had enough power available to get the clothes dry
Maybe one load at a time hung under the awning or hung up in the bathroom ..... or a trip to a laundromat or caravan park on those days ..... then we could run the air con with the bathroom air con vent open and the two hatches open to let the steam out

A rough idea of how much of it will be seen once the air fryer storage box and shelves go back in, there will be a shelf over the top as well, just need to shorten the window pelmet a bit. The other 3 short shelves will go between the door frame and the side of the inverter

The cabling coming out through the floor from the inverter and all the cables and other stuff still needs to be fitted. The cables in the conduit will be mounted with saddles across the top of the bin to give enough room for the washing machine to go up close to the top of the bin.
The 240vac cables can just be seen in the upper right hand corner of the bin opening. They go out through that bin wall and along beside the steps to join up with the existing Winnie cables.

First off Thanks for the pics Terry keep them coming. I do not see the problem with drying clothes, 1/ wash on a good day. 2/ use one of the octopus hangers (for sox n jocks) Hang inside bus anywhere with 1 sticky clip. 3/ When you need to hang heavier or more stuff we string a line from front of bus right down to the bedroom. Also depends on what spin speed the machine does, ours does 1000rpm and that good enough for getting most of the water out. Terry you still have not answered me about "how is Margaret doing?

Discussing washing machines reminds me.
Quite a few years ago there was a print ad for (I think) the 100 series Land Cruiser.
Pic showed the Landy with a 44gal drum lashed to the bullbar.
Text explained that the driver used it for a washing machine.
Final line was, “We’re waiting for him to come back and explain the spin cycle.”

I have seen people with plastic drum on a wooden base with stops both ends. They fill up with clothes suds etc and water. Drive till lunch time with the drum rolling backwards and forwards in frame. Stop for lunch and drain water and refill with clean water and take off again. By end of day hand ring clothes and hang to dry overnight.

Used to have that version in the old Coaster. Very basic, but it works.
