We have stopped at the "Popiltah Rest area #990 Camps book 8. There are Loos, trees, bins, and it's a good large area.

I was gunna ask the same thing, maybe a whip snake? it sure has a small head.

It was just like a stick until I saw it move, I did use the zoom thing on the camera :lol:

If it is a whip snake they are unlikely to bite, but the bite causes a lot of pain so best left alone to do their thing. They eat lizards so that explains the small head because it doesn't need to have a big mouth but does need to go where lizards can go

Here you are Terry, hows this, This rig came in to join us for the night, nice couple and their rig was very impressive inside & out, it is just a few weeks old and this is their shake down trip. There was an incident a few years ago where a bloke was bush walking & was bitten by a whip snake, they did nothing thinking it was harmless, he died he following day, it was on the TV news.
We camped at Warrabah NP & watched a whip snake searching for lizards, it was amazing the way it was looking for them & we had been earlier watching the lizards in that very area.
