Hurdle ONE, last few days it has become impossible to swallow anything even water so today at the nurses check up she weighed me and 3.4kg had gone within a week, I was to see the oncologist tomorrow but the nurse got me to see another Dr there within 5 minutes

With a flash of his pen I had scripts for liquid Morphine 1-2mls every hr & Fentanyl patches one applied every 3 days woo hoo both very strong pain meds so hopefully things should start to improve. Just 19 more zapping sessions to go now. And to top things off I was ordered by the Dr NOT to talk for the next 24hrs, George is deliriously happy.

Watch those Fentanyl patches... one try turned me into a zombie for 36 hours. And I had ripped it off after 12!
Took the remaining two in the pack to local chemist for safe disposal (or a side income...

Just kidding!!!)
Watch the morphine dosage (2%? that's what I had), too. VERY easy to OD!!

Tim Tams or Kit Kats always worked for me when I got the munchies. But I suppose that Dot has probably got the opposite of the munchies?
Dot, just watch the dosage of some of that sh** stuff. It does have a purpose in life, but the less time that you are on it, the better.

Reason for me going on that stuff is to give me pain relief so I can swallow. Haven't been able to even get water down the throat is so painful. Even if I have the PEG tube directly into my stomach I still have to swallow (spit) because if I don't I may never get that function back. See what the man says tomorrow.

We are sorry for encouraging you to talk, we enjoyed the catch-up but gave you more pain to deal with as a result, hearing about your story with the medical profession is not good.

I really don't know what to say, feel for you & wishing you a great outcome, wonder if the treatment is burning your throat ?
The travelling back & fro is tiring in itself, stay strong & positive.
