Ok smarty pants Terry, Saw oncologist before treatment as pr usual, He asked if I need a break and I said NO lets get this little "darling" He said because I was having the most aggressive dosage he wanted to make sure I was doing ok. Anyway he said if I went back to how I was last week he would admit me for nutrition, pain control and also treatment plus it would give the Gman a bit of a break. Shall do that if I get there again. Then off to see the orig surgeon, he said I looked "great" BUT you know it is going to get worse from now on for the next ?2 months

Then he looked at the mouth and said "Oh you have xyz ?? in other words a bad case of sunburn in the mouth and down the throat" Won't know how we have done for between 1 + 2 mths after finish treatment when PET scan is done again. Now for the good news for Gman and HTFFBO I have been told NO talking for the next 2 days

Oh do you know how hard this is going to be for me the original motor mouth aka turbo tongue? IMPOSSIBLE Like I said there are many people that are far worse off than me.

Sticky notes and pens work wonders girl. Slip them in the fridge, sugar bowl and you can even unroll the toilet paper stick on the note and roll it back up. Have fun Robert.

Unfortunately think the actual burning of the throat etc., will take some time to recover but certainly sounds as though you are in good hands & they are looking after you as best they can considering the treatment taking place, keep up your great outlook, keep smiling & no talking, just listen you might learn something about that mob looking after you

seriously feel for you.

This will knock your sex life about Dottles, no more oral sex (that's where you talk about it) and back to hand jobs (where you write about it)

Don't get up to excited or up too much mischief, you don't want writers cramp or RSI in the other wrist eh
Take care Dottie, we are all sending good thoughts for a speedy recovery your way

I just received this from my dearest of friends I worked with in NZ. both Sandy and his wife were Anaesthetists where I worked, they are the most caring people I have ever met (within the working colleagues / professions) they never looked down on anyone, they would waive their fees if needed, and they thought I was an ok person

And to top things off they are rather religious people but never once tried to "convert" me they took me as I was and am. Now I get this email, and they are still looking out for others. Like I said I have nothing compared to others. I am so Pissed off with who / what ever is running this universe.............................................................................................................................................
Now you lot will have to go googling Sandys medical words.
Dear Dot - very good to hear from you. We are very sad to hear of your situation with cancer of ? throat/tongue (uncertain exactly from your friends description). Are you in pain? Under control? Terrible to be unable to speak. Wish we could be helpful.
You will be sorry to hear that Hester had a Whipple's op for CA pancreas 3 yrs ago, complicated by bowel necrosis & cardiac arrest X3, + massive pulmonary embolism - left with short bowel & dumping syndromes. She was ok till 6wks ago, when she developed malignant pleural effusion. Had pleurodesis in Auckland but left with pneumothorax & chest drain for a month. The drain was removed Friday to see if things would stabilise. Her lung is only half inflated. She is only 43kg now... Dear Dot, we are really sorry to hear about your situation. How is George? Is he well? How are you all managing? We love you...

Hey, Dottie,
"Sunburn of the mouth and throat" eh?
Perhaps you could try brushing your teeth with SPF 50 sunscreen cream???
