So we have reached Los Angeles for the second time. Tomorrow we drop of the now well used motorhome. We have clocked 4000 miles, or 7000km in 28 days. Looking forward to softer beds tonight. At some stage we will update the blog again. Coming down from Las Vegas we kept stumbling on bits of the californian leg of Route 66, including finding the bottle mand house as featured on Billy CConnollys trip, was pretty bizarre, but worth the stop. Traffic coming in to Los Angeles was pretty bizarre, there really are some drivers looking for accidents, yesterday we got passed and cut off by a lunatic, and about 4 miles later the man with the red and blue disco lights on top was having a wee chat with him....... Will be nice to travel a little slower for a few days. We have to re sort our visas, then we will try to see things like legoland, universal stuios and maybe disneyland.
Stopped at a little diner a couple of nights ago... Lucys 50s diner, Caroline o erheard a couple of Poms talking about vegemite...made her all homesick, so she stuck her nose in and joined in the conversation. One of the waitresses had that day received a package from another aussie, that contained said substance. She went and got it, their was an intant taste session with varying results. We also acquired a tuve of vegemite....

Caroline finally got round to updating the blog. Been too busy having a good time, plus this is the first decent connection we have had in a fortnight. Caught up on game of thrones and vikings too! We have over 3000 photos, so anyone need an early night, we can organise a 5 hour powerpoint.
Two museum entries, one is the national RV museum, the other is the Auburn and Deusenburg museum. Both well worth the visit.
There is more to go in too, we have our trip to Death Valley, and our trips to Warner Bros studio, Paramount and Disneyland.
Now underway in motorhome number 2, its the same very brown colour scheme, but has an extra seat, plus the kitchen is a bit more usable. Also has drawers to hold stuff in! The waterpump didnt work as we discovered onceI had figured out how to dewinterise it. Crappy wiring connections.
I finally managed to get the control box for the swagman electric legs, half price. Just got to get it back now!
Been very cold being back up north, below freezing a couple of nights.

Caroline dressed up to go to Walmart, made me feel right scruffy...... as usual!
we have been to the badlands, Wall Drug, Mt Rushmore Crazyhorse, Yellowstone just to name a few. Now in Spokane, and a week to go, before we get on the boat to cruise Alaska. 26 or 28 state by the time we finish....Caroline tried to rip her calf muscle off taking a photo of Mt Rushmore, trip to the local ED, after a 40 k drive. We were back on site within 3 hrs, so we figured that made the 4 hr rules in Aus pretty sad. Good thing we took insurance. Blog is being updated, but the sheer quantity of photos is making it difficult!

Calf doing well Dot, just in time for me to take a break from the driving ☺.With Yellowstone being a bit of a wash, we are at the position of having a week up our sleeves and relatively little to see, and about 400 miles to the drop off. I need to find a disc rotor for the swagman, so will work on that, plus the cruise control module. Its a pain without it. Blog is updating, by the time you see this, there should be several new bits to see. Not sure when we will get the Alaskan stuff up, hopefully we will have wifi while cruising..
