Hi George,
Sorry, some how I missed this post. I think there was an issue with the boost voltage and float voltage not being ajustable but an enquiry could clear that up if I've got it wrong. 50 amps capability from a $100 controller is pretty good if it can be tuned to suit. Still needs a battery monitor so the price starts to climb again though.

Well the Dingo arrived with all the bits. When I pulled the shunt out of the box I said to the M.o.W.a.F. have to find out what to do with this. I did not like the smurk tbat came on her face. Will have to fit it up on Saturday. Going to order batteries on Friday. Starting to get a better handle on it now.

I assume the shunt for your dingo will be the same as a PL20. The shunt mounts on a solid surface and the -ve cable from the battery goes one side. the other side has a cable that connects to all the -ve feeds or the chassis if thats the case. There will also be a small twisted pair of wires that attach to the small screw terminals in the centre of the shunt. They go to the small smart box. That is then connected to your Dingo. Hope that makes sense :)

The shunt can go in either the positive or negative lead, the positive is an easier safer option.

Yes it all makes sense. See I am starting to get the hang of this. On reading the Dingo i structions I can put a temp sensor on it as well. I am going to set it up on the agm till the batteries arrive. Then look out for the questions. Now I am actually getting physical parts in my hands all the good words from you guys is really starting to gell.

Which battery are you getting and at what price ?
Will it be your only battery or have you split your battery's ?
