Jon I agree that I did that include that comment in the welcome page.
I did say "FULL" but I don't think we're nearly half full yet? ;)
I've allowed the discussion to continue for a little while and have been watching it carefully to ensure it didn't evolve into a scrum.
Now Rick has joined and posted his thoughts I presume the guessing and innuendo's will peter out.

Welcome Rick to the Forum. ;) ;)

PS. I have now made that section into a "member's only" one. Guests can't read it.

Bruce, are there any other "members only" sections you haven't told us about?

Easy way is to sign out & read the forum. (You DO know your password though, don't you?)
I'm open to suggestions if you think there should be more? (or less?)

Jon if CMCA members having a discussion on matters that they cannot conduct elsewhere is a concern for you, then please join in and state your point of view.

I think thus far, and thanks to Bruce's indulgence, discussions on here have been conducted in a constructive manner. The sledgehammer approach employed elsewhere seeking to silence critique, only entrenches dissatisfaction and membership churn. A truly representative administration would seek to exploit membership feedback, not suppress it.

Now it may well be argued that the critique only comes from a vocal minority. If you think that, perhaps you need to ask yourself by what method are you able to measure that similar views are not held by other members who stay silent.

We all know the number of votes required to elect a Director is pathetically small. It is not going to take a monumental change in voting intentions for changes in Directorships to occur.

A few elsewhere seek to paint me as a maverick intent of destroying. Nothing could be further from the truth. I remain a genuine supporter of the reasons why Maryanne and I joined the CMCA all those years ago. Those reasons now have become a little muddied, we just need to clear the water.

I have had my say Jon and I look forward to reading yours.

Welcome from me as well Rick. There might be the odd vote or two in the offering on here, you just need to convince us! :)

Maybe fielding some questions would be a good start? You would need to start another thread in this section to do that.

Ask Bruce if you need any help. He is a real sweetie pie. :D

Thank you also for the welcome.
Being a friendly and transparent person I am more than happy to answer questions. Just give me some time to find my way around this Forum. I will probably need to seek assistance from Bruce as to the way to proceed.

Personally I think this forum should be kept as it was a group of like minded travellers enjoying each other's posts chatting to one another about life, travel, great locations to visit etc., & forget about CMCA business & elections.👎👎
