OK you motley mob loosen up... Saw the head and neck specialist today and what a surprise, he spoke perfect English Anyway news not too good but hey shite happens and I am letting you all know, all will be ok in a few mths time (I hope) He started by saying the biopsy results were worse than they thought so now I have CT next Monday, then on the 4th Nov I have roughly 1/3 of the bad ol tongue cut off and a skin graft from my forearm is stitched onto the remaining tongue (hopefully the smooth side and not the hairy side) I shall have the left side of my neck opened widely to examine all the nodes to see if there is anything nasty in there and also a smaller cut on the right side to look at those nodes. I shall have a tracheostomy (breathing tube into my windpipe through my neck) plus a feeding tube up my nose. Oh joy More scans to see if we need to proceed with other stuff like radiotherapy and /or chemo. Shall be in hosp between 10 - 14 days and an awful lot of speech therapy, hope I can still say my favourite words twat being one of them and the other is ....... you lot know what it is without me saying it:) Poor George is gobsmacked but he will be good as long as there is food in the freezer Got a laugh from the guy anyway, I asked him about removing these stitches from last week and he replied "leave them for another 3 days or so " but I replied "oh leave them there and you cut them out in 2 weeks time" he thought that was funny So there you have it in a big nut shell. I see quite a few writing pads being used and a lot of bird gestures.

Your not having B C Fn fun Dot .
I know a bit of sign if it comes to that.
