Question, I own a Subaru Outback I have the sound of water running in the dash, no one seems to know what is causing it,
Recently had new head gasket, radiator hoses fitted?

We finally received a much needed decent downpour last night it has been overcast all day but no more rain unfortunately, our lawn is like straw.

Sound of water in/behind the dash sounds like in the heater Shirley.
Go for a drive on a hot day up a big hill & turn on the heater to hottest setting. It might flush the air bubble/lock through.
If it does you should check the coolant level straight after you do it.
If you have a dealer close by ask them if there is a bleed off on the heater hose.

Dot, maybe it’s got something to do with HORROR

it could be some exotic drinking disease

Thanks Bruce excellent info, Bruce was going to jack the front of it up & leave it overnight he thought it might have an air lock in it, maybe we didn't need all the hoses replaced, the noise was there when I had the head gasket replaced.

Maybe you didn't need all the hoses replaced Shirley, but it is good peace of mind. Especially if you have had a problem - such as a head gasket.

"anks" here---
Just had a massive storm at "THE DYSART BUNKER" and all power is out. Very strong cyclone type winds, heavy rain and lots of lightning and thunder. I think that the power will be out for some time.
I am running the house fridge, lights and tv on the motorhome generator, so the WEIS BARS are ok.
"Mr.Russell" being deaf is still asleep and not concerned with the storm. I am going to have a meeting with my mate Jim Beam.
Keith.
