We had a very pleasant surprise visit from Jon D yesterday arvo along with his beautiful dog "Phoenix" I staggered out of bed at 830am as they were about to hit the road back to Vic. When will people learn not to listen to those GPS thingies? it took Jon here there and everywhere before making it here That Jon sure has some neat gadgets in his bus, even has a red light above the bed It is nice to catch up with people after a few years.

Google maps reckons it's quicker via Callington/freeway but there's a lot more hills that way. Might be good in a car but not a 'heavy' vehicle. Just need to approach the ferry at as big an angle as you can. They are used of people doing that!

That way is a tad shorter but the road is ever so bumpy and twists and turns esp in a bus, He went to Callington then just straight up the road. There is more overhang on his bus than ours and even with a wide angle turn we still scraped, plus the river is a bit lower.

Since we left Bollon we have been managing to stay ahead of roads getting closed west of Cunnamulla to Noccundra Pub.
