Rex lookout, on Road to Port Douglas. Saw a tandem hang glider launch while we were there. :-)

Russell you have to go up & spend some time & see the Atherton Tableland after driving all that way, great area & lots of free or low cost camps.

Russell,
check out Rifle Creek camp site [free] at Mareeba, when you get to Mossman come back the inland road to Mareeba and Atherton, while at Atherton check out "Gallo Dairyland". There is a dairy they make cheese [lovely Gallozola Blue & lactose free] Ice cream and Chocolates [to die for]

To windy for the Skyrail so we took the train both ways. Kuranda is a very tired hippie/tourist trap although the Butterfly's were wow.
