Still only ten years is it, I didn't hear the kicking and screaming when Qld was dragged into the 21st century  Surely the Johverites would have wanted the best bits broken away so they could stay on Jon time where each new yr never progresses past the 1960's, they call it "Don't you worry about that" time don't they ;)

Terry, We have a new little General up here now. His name is Campbell Newman, maybe you have heard of him? He had a bit of a big ask when he came to power as the previous mob spent all the money (Allegedly). So he had a brilliant solution,.......sack half the public service then stop all Govt projects. They reckoned that would get the economy working again but now all the friendly fuzzy has worn off they have the knives out and are boning all their mates. Who would want to be in politics?

And goodnight Dottie and all. :D

It was funny to watch them all clamber over Campbell Newman while knowing what he did as soon as he became mayor of Brisbane, why did they think things would be different if they let him loose on a whole state? We have a similar thing in NSW with Barry O'Farrell so you are not on your own up there. After the latest changes, no one is game to work in NSW any more even if they could get a job, the workers comp is near non existant if you get injured yet the premiums are still going up.
