I have a tenor Uke, learned the basics at the Denneliquin rally, used to practice every day for an hour or so while building the bus but as soon as we hit the road the Uke only comes out at rallies and I go to the lessons all over again. Joined in no attended a couple of jams with Lance and Mike at STC but it was 1/2 dark, no music but still something I would like to do again. Some info. Google Ukulele Mike he has a Utube presence that is very good for learning.
One of these http://www.gladstoneluthiers.com/blackh ... -sold.html would be nice we will be in the area next week so I am going to have a look, they are actually Guitar and Uke makers, Luthiers. They are beautiful pieces of work.
Perhaps we will catch up again at Bundaberg
Regards
Gary

Gooday Gary.
Those jams were a lot of fun weren't they, probably more so for you lot that knew what you were doing
For us less experienced players, any jam session is fun, so don't be afraid to become involved.
There is a bit of etiquette to consider, but once you've watched a few sessions you'll pick up the way it all happens. A tuned instrument is a good start.
Anne and I are both involved with 3 groups on an almost regular basis and will jump in on any others we come across providing they are not too far above our level.
Strumming in the backyard is a lot of fun as well. Actually I spent about 4hrs out the back last night with the Uke, a Red and a ripper little fire.
What a way to spend a chilly evening huh ? :)

Certainly changed the tone of the neighbourhood. :o

We live on a corner and I was just inside the boundary fence, I'm sure all the sticks that came over that fence were for the dog to chase and play with.......... :?

justgarbage wrote: Sat Jun 10, 2017 4:58 pm Of course Nelly. Alzheimers  Oops me not you!

Actually I am mildly astute on the uke. Can do a mean version on bohemian rhapsody!
Very clever but appears to have gone over a few heads  easy come, easy go, little high, little low
Any way the wind blows doesn't really matter to me, to me..... but I'm guessing Lance's neighbours have there preference for wind direction when Lance is half full of red ;)
