I do hope it's that simple Jon & David but you have to remember Dot reporting a problem several months ago? (She thought clutch)
Then when the MH was over in Mannum, Terry used first & reverse gears to position the MH near the workshop door & Terry reported something really wrong as well? (Not 6th gear)

Found a diesel mechanic (truck) just caught him before heading out to the mines. He came to the jail and looked at the bus. 1/ Gearbox = good. 2/ He was satisfied with the clutch pedal feel, went through every gear = ok, started her up and got me to do all the gears =ok, so his diagnosis was. Most likely a transient malfunction of a valve in the clutch system. He suggested that an overhaul of the clutch mechanism attached to the gearbox. I can not for the life of me remember what he called it but I know where it is. He also said the clutch was not slipping because it had enough power to "stall" the motor". And that shiny part we were concerned about is nothing to worry about it is just nice and shiny.
My departed Terry would have had kittens as this bloke just plonked on the drivers seat with his filthy overalls on.. But guess that's what you get from out here. :) So now I say BUGGER the bus I am going out today to explore.. Thank you everyone that has offered help xx

Dot, a replacement clutch servo may be cheaper than the parts to overhaul it. Try this company, I found them simple to deal with when I replaced mine. https://www.sindaco.com.au/ The label should give you the part number.

Thanks George,
I thought that an overhauled clutch was a reconditioned or change over?? This aussie lingo still gits me. Um what is a servo?

Just had another spy session watching a camper trailer backing in next to us this one only took 4 goes and it was a woman driver
